the second night of the flood,
i went down around 2, and there were a bunch of other boys i'd never seen there, just scattered. the river was in the process of rising, and they were taping it. this was before they set up their tripod and i realized they were actually doing something. i thought they were romantically watching the water rise (actually it's funny they were sitting there, cause inna few hours that was an island completely. they'd be stranded.) haha ok. but no, it was this awesome sense of brotherhood, though none of us talked. just watched the river rise.  ((seriously, though. there were families who were flooded out. there was a man in walmart who had no underwear--it had all been washed away!!  )) |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
